Our team have been involved with detailed historical research for over 30 years. This is a combination of academic research from primary sources and hands on physical experimentation testing theories raised by the original data. The result is a detailed insight into the reality of life of the period.
We specialise primarily in the period 1000 AD to 1660 AD and mainly in the life of the common people and warfare. Life for most of these people was agricultural and the agricultural world is a highly complex interconnected system determined by the by many changing factors including climate, supply of labour and technology. Our experience of operating period agricultural landscapes over decades under period conditions and with period equipment gives us a unique insight which can be used to improve the accuracy of various interpretative techniques in museums.
We can supply accurate text for sign boards, provide a site for filming video loops, train museum living history interpreters in the reality of period life etc.
